Our little owls have been busy filling up our trophy case! In all reality, these awards mean so much more to us than just a pat on the back. If one of these awards helps us to educate just one family about accidental suffocation and measures to take to avoid that tragedy, that’s more of an accomplishment than the award itself. Raising awareness about safe sleep is our priority, these awards are just a means to reach that goal. That being said, you can take a look at the awards we’ve won below. Cribsie New Arrival Award 2015 -- Academy Star Owlet is a Cribsie New Arrival Award winner and won the Academy Start for 2015! The Cribsie New Arrival winners are chosen by The Cribsie Academy, a panel of prestigious industry leaders, experts, and celebrities. The Cribsie Academy evaluates each new arrival award submission based on the following four criteria: innovation, style/design, marketability and utility. Products that get a rating between 3.5 and 5 stars across all four criteria win the Academy Star. Engadget Best of CES: Best Startup 2016 A team of Engadget editors get together to to evaluate products from their innovation to functionality each year at CES. After rigorous evaluation, a winner is chosen for each category, and Owlet won Best Startup for 2016! Being a startup has its tough moments, but it’s worth it to change lives and winning this award helps us take one step closer to changing more lives with Owlet. JPMA Innovation Awards Winner -- Safety Category and Parents Pick Out of hundreds entered, only 10 products can claim rights to the 2015 Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) Innovation Award. A selection committee made of media representatives and retail buyers judge products on their appeal and usefulness among other things. We’re honored that we walked away with the Safety Category award and the Parent’s Pick award in hopes that it gets us one step closer to raising awareness about accidental suffocation among parents of newborns. Parent Tested Parent Approved Seal of Approval The PTPA community is made up of hundreds of parents who put baby products to the test. If it’s worth their time and recommended by a majority of parents, the product receives a Seal of Approval, and Owlet was no exception! Winning the seal of approval means so much to us to know we’re supported by parents like you. The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval The National Parenting Center is run by a panel of experts dedicated to giving parents credible advice. The center runs an eight-week testing procedure on new baby products to determine if they meet their quality standards and Owlet made the cut! We are happy to have their Seal of Approval in the Safety and Health category. The Bump Best of Baby Tech: Baby Safety & Audience Pick The Bump started a new competition this year to find the Best of Baby Tech. Each product is reviewed by a panel of judges, but only three make it to the finalist round in each category. Once a product makes it to the finalists round, it’s up to the judges scores and the parents vote! We were so happy to hear we won the Baby Safety category AND Audience Pick! We’re so lucky to have a great Owlet family to support us in these competitions. This award especially meant a lot to us because we know how many parents rely on The Bump to get the down low on different baby products. And we’re happy that parents can learn a little more about Owlet from The Bump! CES 2016 Innovation Honoree The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) Innovation Award is given to products judged on engineering, design and innovation compared to similar gadgets in the industry. A panel of distinguished judges made up of independent industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade media put Owlet to the test and gave it the Honoree award! Owlet was showcased at the 2016 CES in Las Vegas among other top performing devices. Digital Health Awards Fall 2015 -- Gold A panel of judges put each entree through a rigorous analysis based on design, creativity, and user experience. Each judge gives a product a score of 1-100 and the scores are averaged. The product with the highest average wins and Owlet won Gold in the fall Digital Health Awards for a consumer product in the personal digital health device category! Entrepreneur 100 Brilliant Companies Our friends at Entrepreneur chose 10 companies from 10 different categories that are changing the world. Owlet was chosen as a top company in the "Wearable Wellness" category. We couldn't be more honored to be listed as one of the 100 Brilliant companies!
